Mr. Mohamed Gillen, a pioneer member of staff is a Deputy General Manager and Group Head for Treasury and Consumer Banking. He is responsible for all the operations of the group, strategy formulation and aiding in the day-to-day management of the bank. He has worked as the Group head of Financial Control and Risk Management. He is also the Company Secretary of the bank.

He is a Fellow member of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (A.C.C.A).

Prior to joining Guaranty Trust Bank, he had held various positions at the Accountant General’s Department, rising to the position of Deputy Accountant General and subsequently Acting Accountant General, before joining First International Bank Limited in March 2000 as Finance Manager.

Mohamed is the Treasurer of the Gambia Association of Accountants (G.A.A.) and an alternate council member of the Accountancy Body of West African States (ABWA).

Mohamed has attended various courses both locally and abroad.
