Mr. Lekan Sanusi is the Managing Director of Guaranty Trust Bank (

Gambia

) Limited.

Mr. Sanusi holds a first class honours degree from Ogun State University , a Masters of Science degree in Economics from the University of Lagos as well as a Masters of Science degree with distinction in Banking and Finance from the University of Sheffield, UK. He joined GTBplc ,

Nigeria

in March 1995 during which time he worked in various component Units of the Institutional Banking Group as well as the Commercial Banking Group.

He left the Bank in 2000 for a period of four (4) years to work as Chief Economist and Head of Planning/Economics at Nigeria LNG Limited, a Gas Liquefaction Company. He returned to the Bank in 2004 where he served up to the time of his appointment to The Gambia as Managing Director, as Deputy General Manager and Head of Corporate Planning and Group Coordination Unit.
